Waste shredders are starting to catch on in the wood waste recovery and reduction industry. Shredders have long been used to process metals, plastics and tires. Some of the manufacturers you may find here include CBI, Doppstadt, Komptech, Morbark, Rotochopper, Cresswood, Komar, SSI, West Salem, etc.
Waste shredders are slower speed “grinders” and are typically much more durable than conventional, high-speed grinders. The other benefits include less dust, fewer fines and less preparation time of the raw materials being processed.
Produced with diesel or electric power, small or large and single shaft up to quad shaft designs, there’s probably a shredder that can handle your waste.

Delivered in 2018. Just not big enough. Wide format, slow-speed, high-torque electric grinder. Will need shanks but that’s not too bad. Large, vertical hopper. Ran straw primarily. Infeed and discharge conveyors NOT included.
